Programme Description
The joint MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship enables early career multiple sclerosis researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work in a research institution outside of their own country. During the two-year programme, participants either gain expertise or carry out parts of joint research projects. The awardee is also invited to attend the annual congress of ECTRIMS.
Following the programme, applicants are expected to use their newly developed expertise and networks to continue to undertake MS research and/or patient care in low- and middle-income countries.
For the 2022 application season, applications requesting virtual or local projects to overcome the travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19 are welcome. For a list of current fellows in this programme, please click here.
